Alpacas in brief
If you spend a few minutes browsing through our site it will be easy to see what attracted us to alpacas. They are clean, intelligent, peaceful animals that are relatively easy to

handle and safe around children. They also offer a lifestyle with benefits and opportunities for the whole family.
Raising alpacas is a labour of love but relaxation, fun and a potential source of income are the rewards of keeping these endearing animals. To be able to escape from a fast-paced urban lifestyle to the quiet, pastoral surroundings of raising and breeding alpacas is a prescription for healthier, less stressful living. There are perfect alpacas for everyone no matter what their preference. There are two types, huacaya and suri, and they occur in many
natural colours. Our personal aim is to breed top quality huacaya with a focus on soft, lustrous and dense fleeces .
Shows and farm visits
Alpaca breeders from all walks of life interact with each other by participating in shows and farm visits, and by sharing their acquired expertise. Showing alpacas is an enjoyable
experience for both exhibitors and spectators. If you are interested in finding out about alpacas then going along to one of the many shows put on by the Royal Agricultural Society in New Zealand is a good staring point. Find out where and when your local show is and talk to the breeders there from your area - perhaps you could arrange to visit their farm. This common interest and support has been the start of many friendships.
