The text size on this website can be controlled by you, rather than being a fixed size. This will hopefully give a greater level of accessibility and will allow you to increase or decrease the size of the text you are reading.

In Internet Explorer, the text size is set at Medium. If you have the text size set to smaller or smallest, you may find that the text is too small. We have provided a guide below on how to change the size of text in your particular browser.

Modern browsers (including Internet Explorer 7 and higher) allow you to change the size of text and web pages by pressing the Control (Ctrl) key and the plus (+) or minus (-) keys at the same time to increase or decrease the size. If this does not work for you, follow the appropriate instructions below.

Internet Explorer (up to Version 6)

• Click on 'View' in the top menu toolbar
• Select 'Text Size' (Windows users) or 'Text Zoom' (Macintosh users)
• Select the size you want

Netscape (up to Version 6)

• Click on 'View' in the top menu toolbar
• Select 'Increase Font'

Netscape (Version 6 and above) / Mozilla

• Click on 'View' in the top-menu toolbar
• Select 'Text Size' or 'Text Zoom'

Opera

• Click on 'File' in the top-menu toolbar
• Click 'Preferences', then choose 'Documents' (in the left-hand 'Category' section of the pop-up box)
• Select the text size you want in the 'Minimum font size (pixels)' option

AOL users

• Select 'My AOL', then 'Preferences' and click the 'WWW' icon
• In 'Advanced Settings', select 'Browser Display' and choose an appropriate text size

Firefox 1.0 (temporary change)

• Select 'View' then 'Text Size', then 'Increase' in the top menu toolbar
• Alternatively, press the Ctrl key on the keyboard and the + /- key to increase or reduce the text size. If you have a 'scroll mouse', press the ctrl key while scrolling up down

Firefox 1.0 (permanent change)

• Select 'Tools', then 'Options' (Windows users) or select 'Preferences' (Macintosh users) in the top menu toolbar
• Select 'General'
• Click on 'Fonts and Colors'
• Set the text size. You can also set a minimum font size

Safari (Macintosh)

• Select 'View' in the top menu toolbar
• Select 'Make Text bigger' or 'Make Text smaller' from the drop-down menu
